Is this safe? Running 1/0awg outside.

People people, There is shit under the car ALL THE TIME. Wires, Brake Lines, Fuel LINES. IF you're worred about it use wire loom or pet sleeving. It's perfectly fine to do it outisde the car. Firewall is better but tends to be harder. I Went from engine bay through fender well into side grommet under carpet.

Dadadaadayum that freakin Uni-bit couldve cost me 40 bucks!! lol. stupid POS. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Either way you will have to drill a hole to get the cable back inside the car. I wouldnt worry about running outside the car. there are alot of cars with the battery in the trunk with a cable running to the front. If anything did short at least it would be outside and not catch the interior on fire, lol

my 0/1 wire has been running under my car along the frame for 4 years now, never had a problem plus no freakin big bulges in the carpet
Just run the 1/0 on top of the carpet like me!!! No unsightly carpet bugles!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Also, just run it through the firewall. Thats how my 4 runs of 1/0 are ran. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I just "massaged" the radio antenna grommet hole with some sheet cutters and voila, a nice big hole. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Nothing is worse for you kids than someone stealing your shat. Nothing is worse for me as a business owner than some a$$hat stealing my shat. Steal from me and your a$$ is mine, guarango****teeit.

Anyways, run the wire how you like, provided it is fused properly up front, is not run where it can chaff on something, get pinched by a door closing or catch on something on the roadway. We just ran two lines of 0 gauge under a Commander after we removed the rear air conditioning unit. Left us a nice spot to run the wires nice and safe. And I'll be adding some of the conduit that I saw on the thread that the mod and I had a disagreement on.

There is room for wire on a QX4. Run the wire along the firewall, and drop it through on the driver's side, there is a HUGE hole there. You can access it under the steering column.
