Is this battery worth it?

I was looking into a 12/16v setup. I searched and found if i used a 12/16v battery in conjunction with a 16v alternator, then I can run 16v to amp and 12v to rest of car. Is this a good battery for that purpose?

I have two follow-up questions

a) where do you aquire 16V alts?

b) Are there any straight 16V batteries common for car audio aps?

PM helotaxi.. he knows a lot
I'm gonna take a guess, but can't you just get a HO alt with regulator to increase voltage to 16? Seems though that it would damage other electronics?
From what I have read and understand, if you have a battery that does 12/16 then you can have the componets for the car (head unit, fan, ecm, lights, etc) run 12v and the amplifier run 16v. Also, if I read correctly, if you run a 16v alt with that battery, it will automatically step down on the 12v side as not to ruin that battery (like if you tried to charge a 12v battery with 16v)

I will take your advice about helotaxi, he has been helpful in the past.

no it wont step down by it self for the 12v stock stuff due to the fact that your alt is putting out 16v so a battery cant have two different outputs for two different thing on the same electrical. you would need two alts to run a 16v electrical. one for the stock stuff and one for your 16v amps.

This is completely wrong.

This battery steps down the voltage to 12V on that output. All you need is a 16V alt and you will be good. You can always step down voltage. There are a ton of adaptors that will take voltage and step it down to whatever is needed by the components. This is the same idea that AC adaptors for your home stuff works.

So this and other hybrid ( more searching = more knowledge) do this stepping down automatically. I also found that powermaster sells a 16V alt. I don't know if it will fir my car or anything.

This is the idea/plan:

Keep my normal alt and normal battery in until I get to the show (it's also a daily driver) switch out the alt to the 16V one and put in this 12/16v battery so that my car will still run and have a couple 16V batteries in the back (powermaster sells them also). I know it will be a bish switching things in and out but it seems like it would work.
