Is this a good system?

I am planning on buying this next week but I wanted to see what you guys thought first.

Three Memphis Mclass 10" subs in a ported box behind the seat in my regular cab s10.

Memphis 16-MCD1000 1100X1 amp.

They are going to sell all this and build a box for $900.....does that sound like a good price? You think it will be that loud? I always had sealed boxes so this will be my first ported setup.....what can I expect?

expect a little more output going from sealed to ported.

Yes a good price. My local shop charges more than that for all that equipment and that isnt even installed. So say go for it. Good luck and let us know how it sounds.

I'm running JL XR653csi three way's off a kicker amp.....I don't remember what model, but it's way more than they need.

why didn't u wanna go wit 2 memphis m3's, those subs are killer in a ported box.....

My friend that owns the shop I am buying this stuff from said the M3's wouldn't be any better than the Mclass subs. They cost about twice as much also.

ahh ok, memphis make some good stuff, those power reference subs pack a punch also
