I want to get these two subs 12' Pioneer TS-W306C from ike sounds because they are only 49.00 bucks each and i wanted to get this amp Pioneer GM-5100T because it is also cheap only 99.00 and i was wondering if this wasnt to bad of a setup for a newbie i am getting this stuff mainly because my funds are extremly limited about 200-350 plus all the other stuff to get it hooked up to my car so i am basicly sayin is this setup ok?

not bad stuff, if you ahve a decent headunit, it should sound good,

i'm from west palm beach.. if you want to drive to the flea market in ft. lauderdale i could meet you there

i'll make you a custom ported box for that and help you install everything for 100 bucks

or i can meet you there and help install for 20 bucks if you have everything there that we need.

let me know : )

edit: what kind of vehicle is it?

thank you, but i am kind of skeptical of the amp because i searched around the forums and i couldnt find any info about that amp, but i heard that the subs were not to bad for the price

bimma what amp do you recommend. Also do i have to get a 2 channel amp to run 2 subs
Nah you can get a single channel, or even a four channel. What kind of subs are these... dual 2 dual 4 single 2.. etc

Edit: if ebay is right and they are single 4 ohm, you would want anywhere from 700 to 1000 watts rms at 2ohms x1.

kicker kx600 RF bd1000 some jbl and hifonics could maybe be recommended from some. I know nothing about em but I think they may have something. Possibly a profile amp.

honestly idk what you are talkin about when you say what kind of subs they are but i am going to buy them from ikesound because i think it's not to far from my house

those ARE good subs.. dhsreppin, hit me up on aim, i'll walk you through some of the stuff if you want.. i'm a pioneer dealer in west palm.. i can probably get better prices.. those are great subs for that price range, you cant do much better than that.

they'll sound good with about 800 watts together, or 450 a piece.

which mono amp should i get. and what is the difference between a 2 channel amp and a mono amp which would work better. because i always thought that every channel was for one speaker

Either will work. But since bass should be played in mono you would want to only send the 2 channel amp a mono signal (take the RCAs and combine them with a y splitter or take one side and split it). Again either will work, the monoblock amp is just easier IMO.
