Is this a good set up?

I plan on upgrading my set up to better/cleaner sound. My goal for the next set up is to have nice highs and midbass, and some nice clean bass. Here's what I got now and what I plan on getting.

Current set up:

Pioneer DEH-6 (cheap hu from wal*mart)

Pioneer TS164P 6.5" front & rear speakers (cheap from wal*mart)

2 12" Kicker CVR's (787wrms @ 4ohms)

JBL GTO1201.1 amp

Next set up:

Pioneer Premier P880PRS

Boston Acoustics Pro60

Kicker ZX350.2 for Bostons

1 12" JL Audio w6v2 in a sealed enclosure

Kicker ZX400.1 for w6v2

Kicker wires

I know some of you will probably tell me to go ported, but I'm more into sealed enclosures. I like that tight, punchy bass. Plus with the new set up I don't wanna rattle through the neighborhood. I want cleaner sound this time around. Would that set up be exactly what I'm looking for? Or should I go with 2 12" w6v2's? If 2 w6v2s would be the best route I'll give them both at least 800wrms, so I'll look into a bigger Kicker amp or a Orion amp.

Any one have any opinions?

Sounds like a great upgrade....good choics on the W6...but I would buy one slightly used then pay the outragous price JL wants..... I want a 880 so bad.....BTW you may need slightly more power for the Bostons....

Port the W6 and tune in the 30s and you should be close to the ouput of the kickers depending on which box they were in...

i agree the w6 are to expensive. you should look at the diamond audio d9 sub. it sound just as good if not better than the w6 and it is cheaper.

The Bostons are 3ohm and the Kicker amp is 110wrms @ 4ohms, so I was told that they'll be seeing more than 100wrms, and the ratings on the Bostons are 125wrms. How much should I feed them?

As for the JL, I found a good price on ebay brand new from a respectable store. I think the w6v2 will be almost $300 or a little over $300, which isn't that bad of a price.

And like I said in my first post, I rather not go ported. Not saying ported boxes ****, they're just not my thing. Ported is nice if you wanna get loud, which I don't want with the new set up. I want in loud in a clean sq way, not like Kicker loud.

When I first got the CVR's I loved them, but after using them for a couple years, they're getting annoyingly loud for me. Maybe I'm changing into a different phase or something, but I want something with cleaner bass.

My only worry is if 1 w6v2 is good enough for what I'm aiming for, or I'd be satisfied with 2. Plus I don't want the Bostons to over power the w6, if it will at all.

Anyone else have any advice?

If 2 CVRs were too loud for you, I'm guessing one w6 would be just fine.
