Spent about 2 hours with a friend (That knows a good amount about car audio) and this is what we decided on. Not sure about the vehicle it will be in, but most likely a smaller sedan.

1. Is this the best set-up for the price?

2. I was told i would probably need to do the Big 3 upgrade and maybe even need a second battery if i was pumping 1000W, is this true?

how would those AudioQue's fair in a sealed box?? Im looking for more SQ over SPL

and if i spent more on a HU i would go with the 4200UB from pioneer because of its additional set of pre-outs

Derek's recommendations are okay....but they'd be a whole lot better if you added my JL Audio 300/2 and a pair of Crescendo Audo CCX65's for an additional $250.

If your friend know a good deal about car audio then he wouldn't have told you to get a prefab box. Other than that what you picked out was ok. Nothing GREAT, but it's not bad. You can get better.

Why don't you post the prices for the individual items?

yeah i wasnt sure for the box, just wanted to get a ballpark on how much it would cost.

are you implying that sealed enclosures have better sound quality over a properly ported enclosure?
