Is this a component speaker set & is it 3-way ????

This is my car. There are 2 speakers in the door. A Sub at the bottum of the door (kinda hard to see) and a tweeter in the top of the door. Inside the car, there is a 3rd speaker (i dunno if its a tweeter or what) in the left corner of the dash (TOP PIC). Is this a component set and is it 3-way????? I would really appreciate anyone who takes the time to reply. this speaker stuff is complicated bizz

Looks to me that the front doors have a component set and the dash has what looks to be maybe a 3.5" coxial in it. I highly doubt it is a 3-way setup.

You don't have to fill every factory opening, and especially not with what the factory had in there.

I would just go with a single 2-way comp set.

The larger speakers located in the lower portion of your doors are 'woofers' or 'mids/mindranges', they are not 'subs'.

3 speakers per side in your factory front stage does not mean its a real 3-way system, chances are that its not. Especially with that mounting configuration. I agree with above, ditch the dash speakers and buy yourself a decent 2-way system. If you want to step up to a true 3-way, you need to look into kick panels.

You would be best with that setup, yes. Like the one guy said, if you wanted to do a true 3-way setup then do the kicks. Otherwise a nice 2-way component set should do you justice.

you could go 3 way. im not saying you should, but you could.

Where on the dash is the speaker?

A lot of higher-end cars have a center channel. I test drove a Lincoln LS yesterday that had one. It made the music sound a little 'airy', not that it's necessarily a bad thing.
