Is the Big 3 necessary?

I have an Audiopipe AP1500.

I checked battery voltage at idle with gain all the way down. 13.8V

I checked battery voltage at idle with gain knob at 3/4. 13.8V (with spikes of around .2V)

I checked battery voltage at 1,500RPM with gain down. 14.2V

I checked battery voltage at 2,000RPM with gain knob at 3/4. 14.18V

So, Is the big 3 really necessary?

The lights never dim even if I put the gain knob at max. I might as well do the big 3 but I was just wondering.

if you aren't dimming with 1500 watts I don't think you're getting the full draw, any batts in the back or anything?
Nope, everything is stock.

Power wire and ground wire to the amp are 4 gauge. I set the Gain at 31.62VAC or just a little lower than that.

at 1 ohm that's just under 1000 watts so after box rise you aren't even running 1000.

someone correct me if that's wrong but the chart is SQRT of RMS x Impedance = Voltage so I used Voltage x Impedance^2

hmm, I only used 1,000W X 1 (1 ohm) = 1,000 then I got the square root of that, 31.62VAC.

So I would need an Amp Clamp to calculate Box Rise? Then take that resistance and set the Gain again?
