It will do 1ohm daily. I've had mine about 9mths, and its only been ran at 2 ohms for about 2wks, since then its been at 0.7- 1.3 the rest of the time. My electrical only consisted of 1 extra batt in the rear for the first 6mths. It went into protect once, and that was in a hot day, running at a 0.8, and it wasn't immediately either.
