Is something wrong here???

So what method did you use to test impedance of your sub system at every frequency within useable bandwidth?

Because 300$ for a magical Steve Meade box is a really wise investment when a minute and a half with a working set of ears would do the job.
Nit sure I understand what your asking big dog. Remember the whole DMM thing is new to me so this frequency bandwith talk is all jibberish to me, but thats why I am here, to learn.

Save the DMM for other jobs. The point being a speaker system acts like a rather complex circuit with resistive, inductive, and capacitive elements. In short, the woofer in the box will be a different impedance at every frequency. Your amp very likely never sees the 2 ohm load you think you're running.

That sure is a lot of $'s although I bought mine for $130. But look at it in a different point of view, as much as I don't like SMD himself (partly because he looks like a real troll) it's not SMD that's going to help me solve my problem but it's his product. In fact I just ordered his UV activated laminate to try out, I could just imagine how it would help me do glassing in an effective way since it has no limit of cure time unless it's under natural or man made UV light. Leftovers are the thing of the past because it won't harden and still use it some other time in the future. Unlike other resins you're slaved to it's curing time and unusable cured leftovers. Just because the guy really looks like a troll it doesn't mean his products are troll quality, I'd say the DD1 and the SunFlash are the products that have purpose and they do what they claim. If the guy doesn't want to invest, then ask if anyone in his area could help him out because I would.

130$ is still a colossal waste for a magic distortion testing box. If you play music set gains with your ears, if you're chasing numbers set gains with an SPL meter. Other tools are expensive gimmicks.

The UV curing resin seems interesting. Looks like it is used for manufacture and repair of surfboards: Sun Cure Polyester Resin

Let us know how that pans out in practice, but by my estimation, even if you're a total retard with fiberglass you'd do better buying regular marine resin for 30$ a gallon as opposed to magical Steve Meade juice for 30$ a quart.... and that's if you're stupid enough to waste half of it from mixing it too hot or working with too large a batch.

Steve Meade = overpriced gimmicks with little to no real practical value.

It ends up to how you look at things and how easy it will be for each person, I on the other hand was able to set my gain(s) just right the easiest possible way so now the DD1 is sitting in my toolbox. If anyone wants to use it in my area, I'll be happy to help just provide the 9V battery since it does consume that voltage in an hour or so. BTW the SunFlash resin cures under the sun in less than 1 minute, it has no odor or need to add MEKP so mixing is obsolete. You still have to admit he does look like the Troll Grand Pooh Pah of North American chapter.
