Ok so here is my dilemma I have a sony 1000 watt amp and 2 12 inch 1200 watt qpower subs and I recently had a car battery problems so I took out my system and got rid of my battery and got a brand new one from Walmart and I put in my system again and now it keeps getting thrown into protect mode I checked my ground I checked my power and I checked my remote chords and they are all good from what it looks like and I turn down the equalizer on the amp and when I do that, it stays on until I turn it back up and then it gets thrown to protect mode again now I'm not sure what to do if anybody can help me that would be awesome

It sounds like a wiring issue. Not sure why you needed to remove everything to replace a battery, but OK. Start at the new battery and make sure your wires are not shorting, exposed, or loose. Check your terminals. Use your DMM to make sure you're getting between 12-14v at the amp. Make sure your ground is good, measure resistance it should be very low. Also make sure your ground wires are same gauge as power.

Well I didnt fully remove it I just removed the power chord from the terminal and removed the inline fuse so everything is hooked up the way I originally had it and I had no previous problems but one of my buddies who originally helped me hook it up said I might of wired the subs to the amp wrong when I unhooked them to switch speaker wires for a bigger guage wire. I currently dont have them bridged on my 2 channel amp. Could that be an issue and possibly be the reason why its being thrown into protect mode

sounds like voltage drop is too much for your ride.... hence the dead batt and your voltage reg. will die next... lol and that system isnt even worth what the battery cost... not to be an azz or nothing just stating the obvious... id get a good used system from here... also what ohm load are the subs if they are wired to anything below 2ohms bridged or not the sony cant handle it...
