Front Speakers quiet while in AM Band

Hello,

I have an ongoing issue with my front auto speakers. They work just fine when I listen to the FM band or play CD's/MP3's. However, when I go over to the AM Band they are completely quiet.

Is this by design or is there something wrong with my stereo system?

Appreciate feedback.

see if your head unit has SLA (signal level adjuster). Boost it up for the am to see if its at acceptable levels. If not then it might be something wrong with the head unit wiring.
