Is something wrong here???

So I just recently got my Sundown E8v3 Dual 4ohm 300RMS and audiopipe 1000w monoblock to run it... So I go to tune my amp and I do it with a DMM. Im running the sub at 2ohms at 500watts, so 500x2=1000 and the square root is 31.62. I turned everything on my head unit to 0 including my sub level(-15 -13 -11 -9 -7 -5 -3 -1 0 +1 +3 +5 +7 +9 +11 +13 +15), turned my head unti to 25 the max I play and 3/4 way up, put on a 50hz tune and I set my gain to 31.7 which is about 500watts, my lpf around 90hz and subsonic about 26hz(box built and tuned at 35hz, sundowns reccomend box built for the sub). When I go to play a song and turn it up to 25, I can barely hear the bass until I turn up the sub level till about 9, then I feel like Im getting that 500w! Shouldnt it bump without the level beinf turned up? Am I missing something?

Getting your hands wet on a Oscope or a DD1 upgrades your status from a nubee to a sure ball diy gain adjuster. So simple that you don't even need to mumble any numbers in your head to adjust your amps gain, heck you can even adjust it while using hearing protection. Everything is included and all you need are batteries or a power supply (Oscope) to power it up.

Turn your low pass down

No idea what your talking about.

Turn your low pass down
Turn it down to about where do you think? You think that is really gunna increase my bass by that much tho? It sounds like I have my gains turned down still until I turn up the sub level on my radio. If I adjusted my wattage to 500w's, shouldnt it be up and pumpin good bass already?

Low pass means if u have it set at 90 hZ u won't hear anything below 90hz. Hense no bass. All songs are like 20hz to 60. So yes by turning it down to like low 20s u will allow your amp to play those notes lol clear enough?

most threads I read on here and other forums state the opposite and wont play anything over what I set it at. Most suggested between 80-120hz was a good setting, plus also the fact my amps lowest setting is 40hz-180hz. Subsonic was the only setting stated that low being a few hz below what my box is tuned at so im confused with your answer

No you are correct. If you set your lowpass to 90hz, you won't hear anything ABOVE that. I think 90hz is fine (mines around 80hz)

I had a similar issue..I set my gains with all HU setting zeroed and was unimpressed... Now I'm not sure this is the proper way of doing things, but I turned the sub level on the HU up to 5 (goes from -7 to 7 on my HU), reset my gains and It's 10x better...loud and clean.

I think you have that backwards.

Yea I dont get why mines only bumps when turned up on the sub level. I only had the sub hooked up about a week n a half, but 3 days on this new monoblock... Think the sub isnt broken in yet? But on my old 4 channel amp it seems to bump a lil tho so Im lost.. Im gunna check the wiring on the subs again and make sure all ia connected in parallel

If you used a 0db tone it makes.perfect sense you need a -3 to-8 db tone depending on your music. Most music never comes close to 0db if you set your gains with a 0db tone just set you sub output to -5 to -8 so when you play music you set it to 0db. You might also want to check if the input you are using CD, mp3,aux has its own level adjustment compared to the radio.
