Ok so this week I will be adding the following components.
Rockford fosgate p200.2
12 inch kicker in a ported box
taramps ds440x4
4 audiopipe 6 inch midrange speakers
2 power acoustik nb-4 tweeters
Clarion eqs755 equalizer
So how I am going to be wiring this is running a 4 guage wire to the back with a fuse of course and connecting to a power distribution block.
I will also have the ground from the chassis connected to a block
From there I will have 8 guage wires supplying power and ground to both of the amps
I will run the remote wire and piggyback off the two distribution block to a relay which will be used to turn on both amps and the equalizer.
The equalizer I was planning on using a fuse tap for power and grounding it somewhere I could find.
I will run a 6channel rca cable from equalizer to the two amps (fosgate gets 2 and taramps get 4)
The fosgate will power the sub and the taramps will power the 4 midrange and tweeters.
Speaker placement I'm thinking will be two midrange where my 6x9 are in the rear window and the other two will be in pods attached to the side panel in the rear angled towards the front with the tweeters piggybacking off the midrange. Placed a little higher up. I do have a pair of 5.25 kickers I could add to the front door that are just spares.
This is a 96 honda civic 2 door coupe and I don't ever have people in the back seat so I'm not worried about the noise back there being to loud. I'm more concerned on water getting in the door (it has happened a few times in this car) and destroying the speakers if I have them in the door.
Let me know any corrections if I missed something or just opinions on the setup
This is my first above average build from your standard sub and coaxial speakers so I want to get it right. I will be asking after the wiring for settings of the amps and eq once I have this all wired in so be prepared
