is my system decent for db numbers

i have 2 type r 12's getting about 1500 to rms to both in 5.5 cube at 35hz really sounds good. hits hard and got alot of pressure..im gonna have it metered soon. just wondering if my box will put up decent numbers.. would my peak be about 40hz... if i make a 40hz tuned box will that do better? im a newbie so still learning about all the comp stuff. is spl metered by loudness or air movement or both, or what? theres a guy that everyone thinks hes loud and we faced off just by the ear and i killed him, but he wants to do it on the meters and says hes louder. he hit 138 db on a test tone...i wanna get to 145 i hope? any help anyone

i dont think im that loud compared to some. but i know i gotta be louder then 138, i would hope...ill just keep reading since u guys were no help...!!!!!!!!!

that is the most completly random and impossible to ask question ever, it would be similar to you telling us you forgot your mothers birthday and for us to help you remember it

its ok, everyone starts somewhere, sound pressure (air movement) , but its the same thing as "loudness"

loud to the ears doesnt always mean louder on the mic, 138 could be good or bad depending on the equipment, vehicle, electrical, 100 different variables

i wanna get to 145 i hope? any help anyone

1500rms and 2 type r's could do 145... build a few boxes around 5 cubes between 40-50 hz , do like 40, 43, 45, 47, 50... meter each one, find which ones loudest...

thanks twistid, im not tryin to bragg about my system cause it is nothing ,,i have about 600 bucks in it. just wanted u to know what i had and it does sound good for what it is... just thought someone would have more experience with lower or higher tuned boxes and results. but i will post what i get..
