I'm a newcomer to the audio scene. I wanted to add more punch to my car, and JL had these shallowmounts so I thought it was a good idea. The Polks will run on their own amp, and the jls on a separate...or is that still a no no?

why would you want to mix sub sizes and powers? what benefit do you think this will give?

get rid of the polks and use the funds to upgrade the rest of your system, wiring/rcas/electrical.. whatever. The polks aren't in the same league as the JLs. jl takes the cake there.

really though. just run the jl's with the amp you have and you should be happy.

you wont be shaking any cars, especially with shallow mounts, but it should sound pretty **** good.

that's left up to you.. your box, and your settings on amp/headunit and volume i'd be safe to say.. lol

it'll be loud in your vehicle either way and you'll feel it. You have nice stuff.. don't let us make you think otherwise.. but we just know there is better for less. JL is insanely overpriced for what you get.
