Alt whine and Sirius Crap

so two issues, I just put in a new Kenwood 948HD and grounded it to the chassy of the car grounded my RCA ran ground from amp ground to chassy of player and I STILL have alt whine....WTF! so any help on that would be great

second I installed the Kenwood SR50 with the sirius SCC1 tuner and it just says check sirius on my kenwood...does anyone have any idea on this one?

its possibly a bad tuner, i would recheck all connections, and radio settings. if all else fails, you will have to swap the tuner out for a new one. they have a 1 yr warranty.

Well I hooked up another antenna just to see and it came right on...so I think the ant might be causing a short or something...I know that sounds weird but....
