is my electrical strong enough?

i'm probably going to get this amp:

and i have this one:

the top one has 4x30A fuses and the bottom one is a single 25A.

8awg power and ground for the 2 channel amp and 1/0 power and ground for the soundstream. big three with 1/0 as well.

stock 99 accord alternator (80 amp, i belive) as well as a normal battery (not deep cycle).

is my electrical system going to be able to keep up?

That is a S load of pull on your 80 amp alt, i'm guessing it will hold but not for long.

if i did get a yellow top (or someting) should i replace the old battery, or put the new one in the trunk in addition to the other one?

Get an HO alt...adding a battery wont help much if you dont have the juice to charge it.

I run 1600w of a/b power on a 90 amp alt just fine, stock battery.

I doubt that that amp will put out 1700@1ohm. But if it did, you should be okay. Im running close to 1700 with slight dimming.

you don't think that amp will do rated power?

it's an older soundstream, and its original selling price was significantly higher.

i made a thread in the amps section, and i only got a couple responses, but they thought it'd do rated power.

Thats amp puts out its RMS with not a doubt in my mind. Only way to tell is to get it benched. But For 250 shipped, if it puyt out 1500-1600 thats still a kick *** price. Im telling you right now its pretty **** close to 1700 if not mid 1600's

Also you need 0 ga wire. new bat and a new alt. but do the bat at least for now.
