so i ended up buying an ID8v3-D2 and put it in a .2 cuft sealed box. it's considered to be the small box on ID's website but im noticing that im not getting much output. .35 cuft is the recommended size.
my amp can provide the power but at a certain point, i can hear the sub struggling and sort of flopping/rattling on kick bass notes that should be tight. no issues on deeper/longer bass notes.
according to reviews on here, people say this sub hits hard. but im not really experiencing this when i turn the volume up.
if it helps, im running an eclipse xa4000 with the front channels running a set of rainbow germaniums and the rear is bridged for the sub which is wired in a series. the amp can do 350x2 bridged.
