Are her JL Audio Subs FAKE????

a friend of mine purchased 3 JL Audio 10w3v2's and a ported enclosure built to specs, from a seller on craigslists today. I went with her to verify they were legit and for protection. When we got back to my car, I tested out each subs to make sure they worked and they did. Then when I sat back for a while, I thought about the product boxes that each sub came in. I've been buying JL audio stuff for a few years now and I've never seen these type of boxes. All of mine have been white, but this is....well you can see in the pictures below. I've also never seen the bottom of a JL sub look like this.

ARE THESE JL SUBS FAKE???

something tells me you're lying about this as is the seller lying about the v2 part. these are what the real JL stuff came in not this new made in china stuff. btw those are just W3s not a v2. IIRC JL started using the white boxes just around 2 years ago.

They're V1's instead of V2's...still nice subs if you can find them cheap. Hell, I like W0's when you can find them for 50-60 on craigslist.

no way you don't know about those boxes unless you only bought JL W1s or IB series. I use to sell JL from 99-04 and those are the boxes they used.

I haven't sold JL since 2005 but when I quit the boxes looked just like that. as far as real yeah they are late 90's or really early 2000 model from the look.

She paid $200 for the subs and the ported enclosure. Already got a buyer for $350. It was just to flip them, not to put them in her car or anything like that.
