is my amp to weak?

reason i traded in the w7 is bc my amp is only puttin out 500 rms and the w7 rms was 750... i think ill be fine now since imma have 600 rms in a car trunk.. 04 malibu to be excact

If you really did it for that reason, I feel bad for you.

Just because you don't have quite enough power to meet the speaker's RMS doesn't mean you should get an inferior driver.

downgrading to w3s i just cannot understand why

number one reason was my amp.... if i would have had a 1000/1 i would have been fine with the w7.... but since i only had the 500/1(still a great amp) this will power my 2 new subs perfectly... like i said b4.. i think 6oo rms in a cars trunk will ddef have some bump in it (i say 600 rms bc even though its a 500/1 amp it can still put out an rms of 600... dont ask me why they call it 500/1)

i'd say go back...and trade the subs/box for a w6 and keep the 500/1

i was told that i wouldnt get the SQ under powering the w7 that much... multiple ppl told me this as well as the dealers... altough they said it would work.. the sq would not be nearly as good

subs dont put out power! power ratings mean nothing, you have a lot of reading to do why downgrade to an inferior driver it makes no sense at all.

i gwt what yall are saying but i dont see the point of having a w7 if i cant even pump it with hardly 600 rms... its a 750 rms sub(and thats undertaed) the guy told me it could take 1000rms all day...i figured y not get somthing that my amp will push nicely and get some cash back... plus its a double ported box so i mean its ganna be pretty loud

how much cash did you get back? I have a feeling you got ripped BIG time. Most w7's, retail, are well over $700. w3v2s are around $400 for two.

take the **** amp back not the sub! its not double ported there is one very small port, and not its not gonna be pretty loud...
