... Apparently you listen to sine waves while driving? At idle he'd get about 200 amps, pumpin a true 3000 watts @ idle will draw about180 amps....

Maybe a little over kill but to keep a true steady voltage and charge everything run everything, it's not unreasonable
No dimming...wow so that means your electrical is up to par and your amps are pushing rated power....Guess again genius........ Apparently you listen to sine waves while driving?
I am running 2400w on a stock electrical, and I have no dimming. Why? Because music is dynamic. Oh snap look at that.
If you knew anything about the 2000D you'd know that it has been clamped many times to produce 2kw+ @ 0.5. The other 400w is from the 4.400 running my front stage active. No dimming...wow so that means your electrical is up to par and your amps are pushing rated power....Guess again genius.....
I get no dimming either but my voltage drop is way below acceptable....
Oh and your 2000d is rated @ 2000 max not rms so guess again genius you are not even close to 2400 rms, you may be at 1600 total rms if lucky.
I didnt get dimming either in my old system when voltage dropped to 11.5 dimming doesn't mean sh!t, it's just an indicator of something you should already know, your sh!t aint right....
And here's a calculation for you to determine what alternator you need....

Well you must have one hell of a factory alternator to get a steady 14.4V[/b]If you knew anything about the 2000D you'd know that it has been clamped many times to produce 2kw+ @ 0.5. The other 400w is from the 4.400 running my front stage active.
If it makes you feel any better, I have no voltage drops with 2400w RMS

We still need brand name. Many people state the max wattage of the amp instead of the RMS, which is what matters.
sorry about not posting the info sooner i was out all last night
but these are specs of the amps
2 1500 watt @ 2ohms
i got kicker zx1500.1 class d amps
