HE DRIVES A DODGE STRATUS!!!!

Can you do 100 push ups in 20 seconds?

But like they said, if you're doing that kinda power, do the big 3 and add a battery in the back and make sure the one up front is up to par too.

For 3k watts he is going to need a High output alt as well

If you think it takes 400A worth of alts and 5 batteries to handle 3k you're retarded.
At idle he'd get about 200 amps, pumpin a true 3000 watts @ idle will draw about180 amps....

Ad in A/C and vehicle ignition = 30 more amps so now at idle we are up to 210 amps

Get up to 1200 rpm then most likely he would see 300 amps which will keep the batts charged up from any stop and go traffic.....

Now if there are no stop lights and you only drive the freeway then no that much amperage is not needed to keep a steady voltage...

And Notice I said "STEADY VOLTAGE" meaning not dropping to any lower than

13V as in 13-14V like I posted...

Now if dropping to 11 volts is ok than 1 extra battery and a 150 amp alt will work.

I had a 90 amp with the Big3 and 1200 rms and my voltage would drop to 11.5 at idle and down to 12.8 @ 2000 rpm when hitting bass notes

So with my ghetto math 2 1/2 times the power = 2 1/2 times the alt which = 245 and thats to get a voltage drop like I did, which you dont want...

Maybe a little over kill but to keep a true steady voltage and charge everything run everything, it's not unreasonable
