I have a JL w7 12" and a PDX1000, the PDX is only stable up to 2 ohms...could i wire the sub parallel to make a 1.5 load, will the amp be ok? I figured after Impendence rise, and other factors it would eventually go to a 2 ohm load.

After impedance rise you'll be well above 2, as long as you have electrical I'd say go for it.
If only that were true. Assuming he's going to only burp his woofer in a box built to peak at his vehicle's resonant freq... yeah you'd be correct. If he plays any music at all, you're horribly horribly wrong.
