Is it ok to cut the rubber boot?

the boot pushes together...like an accordian.

push the door open all the way...pull the boot out of where it goes into the car and pull it loose from the door and push it together and it will get bigger

Run the wire through it and into the door and push the boot back into its place...

still no luck, was able to get it through the part i wanted to, but go stuck 1/4 of the way.

Dunn of its bad or not but put a little soap on it! It will slide right through! Thats how I get mine through.

if you have a grabbing tool they come in super handy for doing this...you can also slide a coat hanger (just be careful to cut any wire) or a fish tape and pull it through

soap helps we use it at work for large wire pulls but we dont use hand soap we use yellow 77 made for wire pulling but any type of lubricant should help hand even if there isn't anything better available.

i would suggest using a long wire tie before using a coat hanger for wire safety and flexibility
