Is it ok to cut the rubber boot?

I need to run the wire from amp to speaker. There's no other way but to cut part of the rubber boot so I can run the wire from door to car. Would it be ok to cut part of the rubber boot?

You're going to cut the boot and bring the wire from inside the door to run throuhg the door jam (running the wire out of the boot) and the under the carpet, I assume is your idea?

Why not put the wire all the way through the boot and into the interior of the vehicle?

Most car's boots / tubes are big enough to fit at least 2 pairs of 16AWG through. You just have to push it...

Seriously, put a little vaseline or other lubricant on the wire, get a coat hanger and fish that ***** through.
