It might just be me growing up, but it seems like not that many people are into it as they used to be. Also the fact that this site went down the drain. Newcomers used to typically sign up here first. And now.... Well you see What's going on around here. Did goob kill car audio?

nope. tapes, radio, analog, all *****. I agree that cd's are the worst thing that happened to mankind. but digital is much better when stored on something other than a cd.

car audio will never die, because so many people making daily commutes to work, and music makes the ride more enjoyable. plus there will always be those guys trying to rip out the pavement with their loud bass.

 
Short answer; Yes its dying fast. Cars are now being made with more "adequate" audio as well as being more integrated with the rest of the car making upgrading expensive and sometimes impossible in some vehicles.

People thsese days are more concerned about other things, like hashtags, skinny jeans, and being gay.
