Is 8 Gauge enough for 1 amp system

I am going to be running either on OS Opti 4100 or a new 50W to 100W x 4 channel amp(brand unknown at this time). Is 8 gauge enough or should I just go with 4 gauge?

8 gauge would be fine, with that little power the amp's terminals might not even be big enough for 4 gauge...
