Is 4.3CF too small for x12s?

I don't know if I should keep this box or sell it. Is this too small for sundown x12's? I will have 2500 rms and don't know if I want to push my sa's that hard

The airspace is fine for x.s ..whats the specs of the box? Pics?

You can use the current Z v.3 box specs as a starting point ; all of the new woofers will accept larger boxes -- for example; the Z v.4 12" In-Car Video thread box is 3 cubes for one 12" woofer and we aren't hurting the speaker.

We'll be doing some real-world testing to dial it in further, of course, but this is what I'd shoot for :

10s : 1.25 - 2 cubes ported

12s : 2 - 3 cubes ported

15s : 3 - 4.5 cubes ported

18s : 4 - 6 cubes ported

At higher power err towards smaller; around rated power err towards bigger.

Well that's good to know, maybe I'll just run sa's

Anyways, box is 34 wide, 20 tall, and 17 in depth.

Yea i lf u havent bought the x s yet ..no sense unless u just really wana ..slam the sa.s on good power.....mine did 145.2 back in the day..box link didnt work

Could use carpet but that stuff on the side is from being sealed off in my friends trunk

Ahh those trucks are soo easy to get loud in ..guy i work with we did a zv3 15 on a 3500 with a 8" aero ..then did a big nasty kerfed box with 4 sa8v2s ..amazing the output was **** identical very fun to toy around with

Well that 12 in the single box is a zv3, so should I run that off 2500 or the 2 sa's for cone area? Hmmmm.

But yeah they're easy to get loud no doubt!

Id be willing to bet the sas are louder ...looks like u could use a lil more port area but i bet its still loudr...test em both
