I got a jl 500/1 thats going to be powering 2 12w6v2s. A friend of mine gave me a bunch of 0/1 gauge stinger power wire and ground with the reduced connectors that go from 0/1 gauge to to a 4 gauge tip. and i didn't know it that would be to big for that amp?

x2 The 1000/1 was designed for 2 w6 OR 1 w7. The 500/1 will push them, but nowhere near thier potential. You will be amazed by what those two subs sould like on 1000w.

But to answer your question, you will be fine using 0ga wire. That will allow room for upgrades in the future. A good move IMO.

yeah i would like to have the 1000/1 but i got a deal from a dealer on the 500/1 for 375 and a free bass remote with it and i really could pass it up cuz i was tight for money and i was wanting jl.

your buddy giving you all this....tell him to shoot some my way. But i agree, keep the 0/1 guage wire. I dont see u needing the cap. But people have their own preferences
