LOL
Can anyone point me to instructions on removing the radio/console in a 99 jeep grand cherrokee?...I tried to goggle it but I didn't get much of anything for the 99 and above models...I'm sure I could do it without instructions but it just makes it easier when I know what i'm in for....Thanks.

if its like our 96 u pull the bottom trim pieces off around the steering wheel and take loose the screws from there and the top of the instrument bezel right above the guages. Take the guage cover off that is over the steering wheel. Then there should be 2 bolts holdin the radio in. IF its like out 96?

where are u having trouble with? what area?
I'm not having trouble...i'm trying to figure out what I am up for since it is not my vehicle... looking for instructions like pitbull12888 just wrote but for a 99...pitbull I don't think it's the same...I found the instructions for 96-98 but I think the 99's are different...it looks different in the photos anyways...

ya 99's are different but should stray off to far

go to wjjwwps.com Im pretty sure, and that will give you everything you ever need to know about the wj grand cherokee:)

yeah the plastic piece that surrounds the radio is just clipped in there. just take a flat head and pop it out.
careful not to gouge the trim though. Done that plenty of times //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

honestly, chrysler, jeep, and dodge have some of the easiest headunit removals of all time.

the plastic around the thing pops off and there are usually 4 screws. the kit you get at circuit city or best buy literally just plugs into the hole and 4 more screws go in.

if you get the radio harness at circuit city, one for the car side, and one for the headunit side, then you can literally get this install done in less than 10 minutes. i loved when people came in with a dodge stratus or jeep grand charokee. they are so incredibly easy to do its not even funny.
