iPod Wiring

I recently purchased http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7709063&st=connex2car&type=product&id=1138086047724

this from BestBuy to allow me to connect my iPod directly into my Pioneer head unit.

Now my question is, this has the option of charging my iPod if I can connect a 12V+ and Ground wire somewhere in my car. I'm a noob when it comes to car stereo and had a store wire my whole system so I am trying to find out where I connect these two cables so that I can have the ability to charge my iPod as well as play music through the head unit.

Thanks!

Ground anywhere behind the dash that is shiny metal. Go to your fuse box with a piggy back connector for the 12v+ source. You can pick whether or not you want it switched.

If you put it on a switched fuse, then only with the car on will it charge.

Or you could tap into the wires that run into your radio. The shop probably used a harnest to wire the pionner into your car, look for the red wire which is 12+V Accesory power, and the black which is ground. Solder if you can, but tape up using electrical tape.

I definitely cannot solder but I can use electrical tape. They have a wire harness in the back that almost looks like this:

scale.ms

and your saying to find the red wire and put it together with it in the same hole with electrical tape?

ok, so I connect this to the fuse box in my truck and connect it to the wire that runs from this device, now how do i run this short wire all the way to my fuse box, im a noob when it comes to this stuff i have no idea how to get a wire all the way there in the first place even if it was long enough

I think I may just go with a car charger cause i really dont want to mess anything up electrical wise since i seriously am clueless when it comes to this stuff...what you think?
