Only they don't have to do it. If the phone will eventually be gone for awhile, jumping through hoops to keep a phone will have to be done. And Apple will not fix an unlocked phone. Maybe if you happen to be buddy buddy with a store manager, but that's the minority, not the norm.

If they are offering a free phone, then you'd be stupid not to take it. However, that is not always the case. My point is that when they are NOT offering a free phone, why would you buy another one just to use your orignally bought phone? The point is, why would you buy an iphone in the first place if its not on your provider of choice, when there are plenty of capable phones on your provider of choice? Seems like a waste of money to me as well as time. In order to buy the iPhone, unless you get it from ebay (in which apple won't warranty) You have to sign up for a 2 yr agreement. So you mean to tell me that it makes sense in your little college oriented mind that you should sign up for 2 contracts in order to use this inferior phone? And you are calling other people idiots? When you grow up, maybe you'll learn to not waste your parents money like you have been.

never said to sign two contracts, number two the deals at walmart are always the case. they always have free phones online. as long as you dont change the plan for 6 months its all good.

buy ebay like most of us do, get a squaretrade warranty, get a bad *** free phone at wally world...there you go, solved that issue for all the iphone haters. now all of you can enjoy one.

when my kenwood navi went bad i sent it in. during that time i bought another kenwood double din from dconder. you gotta pay to play.

squaretrade will fix it and on top of that if they dont ship it back within 5 days from the time they got it, they give you cash back.

squaretrade circumvents the fact that you dont have to have a hook up at apple

I have Sero and a Treo...read the thread i recommended it. I also have an iphone with the most basic 500 minutes a month, 400 texts, and my unlock allows me to use the Tmobile email service to get online which is $5.99 per month. total with tmobile i spend $43.58

for $110 a month i have two phones. music, movies, unlimited texts, and work email on the treo. then i have more movies and music on the iphone which is directly controlled through my Kenwood Deck, i also have an internet tool that is 100X better than my treo for research and surfing the net. better view of movie6 and watchtvsitcoms.com

i also get to write off my phone bills every year

nope, it gets written off on my taxes. but i work for the government and iphone is not take outlook express as well as a me having a treo 755 with no camera. there is no phone for an all in one...there are give and takes for all of them. i never said it was a do all. never said the Treo was the answer either.

theres not much you need another phone anyways. you are still on mommys tit with your paln as it is so business use phone is not your best.
