Can't play Bluetooth Audio from my iPhone to my Truck audio system

I've installed a system in my truck consisting of a Dayton Audio DSP-408 Digital Signal Processor, with a DSP-BT4.0 Bluetooth Data and Streaming USB Interface for the DSP-408. This is connected to two power amplifiers which provide power/signals to multiple speakers. My desire is to play Pandora Music via my iPhone. However, I have been unable to play music by this method. There is no head unit other than the signal processor. The Dayton Audio ap is loaded and my phone shows bluetooth connectivity.

I have been able to connect my laptop, and make adjustments in the signal processor. I have also been able to play music through Windows Media Player on the laptop.

Thoughts?

There are a few steps and considerations to troubleshoot your situation with streaming Pandora Music via Bluetooth from your iPhone to the Dayton Audio DSP-408 setup. Since you've successfully connected to your laptop but are having issues with your iPhone, consider the following:

1. **Bluetooth Connection**:
- Ensure that your iPhone is properly paired with the DSP-408. You can try unpairing and then re-pairing the devices to reset the Bluetooth connection.
- On your iPhone, go to **Settings > Bluetooth** and ensure that the DSP-408 is connected. If it shows "Connected," try disconnecting and reconnecting.

2. **App Permissions**:
- Make sure that the Dayton Audio app on your iPhone has the necessary permissions to access Bluetooth. Check the **Settings > Privacy > Bluetooth** and confirm that the Dayton Audio app is allowed.

3. **Audio Output Settings**:
- Verify that the audio output on your iPhone is set to the DSP-408. When you play music, swipe down from the top right corner (iPhone X and later) to open Control Center, and check that the audio output is directed to your DSP-408.

4. **Volume Levels**:
- Check the volume levels on both the iPhone and the DSP-408. Sometimes the volume on the phone might be low or muted, which can prevent sound from being audible.

5. **Resetting the DSP-408**:
- As a last resort, consider resetting the DSP-408 to factory settings. This might solve connectivity issues if there are persistent settings from previous connections.

6. **App Specific Issues**:
- Try playing music through a different app (e.g., Apple Music or Spotify) to see if the issue is only with the Pandora app. If all other apps work fine, it might be a specific issue with the Pandora app that could be resolved by reinstalling it.

7. **Firmware Updates**:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for the DSP-408 or the DSP-BT4.0. Sometimes firmware updates can resolve connectivity issues.

8. **Testing with Other Devices**:
- If possible, test with another Bluetooth-enabled device, such as a different smartphone or tablet, to determine if the issue is with your iPhone or the DSP-408.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and hopefully resolve the issue you're facing with playing Pandora Music through your DSP-408 setup. If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Dayton Audio's customer support for more tailored assistance.
