That's where you are wrong. When you go to T-mobile, You will only buy the sim card and activate the account. If you provide your own phone, they won't make you buy another one. You will also go on a month to month contract., meaning you are not locked into any yearly agreements.. Your whole theory is moot. Why would I spend $500 on a phone and then spend more money on another one just to go to another provider? If I was to do all of that, I'd just get a sidekick 3 or some other smartphone from T-mobile.see when you buy an iphone, unlock it, and then go to tmobile, you have to get a phone from tmobile. whether it is the basic phone or one of those free PDA phones they offer from time to time you still have a left over phone. either way, when you send in the iphone and pay to get the battery replaced you can use the phone you NEVER USED...novel idea and you are obviously the retard!
