see when you buy an iphone, unlock it, and then go to tmobile, you have to get a phone from tmobile. whether it is the basic phone or one of those free PDA phones they offer from time to time you still have a left over phone. either way, when you send in the iphone and pay to get the battery replaced you can use the phone you NEVER USED...novel idea and you are obviously the retard!

ok man you still havnt got around the fact that apple wont give you a battery or fix an unlocked iphone, because they are exclusively partnered with at&t. even if you can get an iphone and unlock it, it will still be rendered useless in the future and you will be looking to spend 500$ on the next new thing. i like the iphones but unless i wanna pay the extra money to have it when i can get all the features of the iphone in that BB curve that i posted and it cost me 400$ less i am prolly not getting one.

depends on the relationship you have with your local apple store. creating a relationship with the manager or a tech can go a long way. either way i would just buy another one. simple as that. whats a few hundred bucks for something that is such a convenience? i also think many of you are looking past the fact that squaretrade will cover an iphone from ebay for $30-40 for 3 years. pretty simple really
