So I just bought a new car and was dismayed finding that, although it has an 'updated' head unit (Alpine CDA 9856), there is no aux input. The only thing there is is a iphone adapter running from under the glove box. Unfortunately I have a Droid.
Now the I borrowed an Iphone to test and when the radio is switched to 'Aux' it'll play whatever was coming out of the iphone's speaker, whether it be streaming (spotify) or saved.
Is there a easy way to jerry rig this to accept audio from any device without tearing out the radio? I saw these adapters, but I'm pretty sure its not what I need (aka won't work).
