ipad in car?????

Hey was trying to find out what would be the best way to connect my ipad 1 in my bronco. All the car mounts ive seen on ebay look like they wouldnt hold to the bass. Does anyone have a ipad in their car. How does it hold up

i tried using a phone in my car but it gets to hot and i keep getting an error b/c of high temp, so i don't know how people do tablets or ipads b/c they will overheat

Use a more powerful charger like an inverter I use my phone via my appradio 3 and it stays cool to the touch never a problem

i mean to leave it in the car at all times, i got another phone i just left in the card mounted, but in the sun it gets to hot to keep on all the times, i tried to use tasker to kill everything and lower CPU and everything when not in use, but the sun still gets the phone to hot and is overheating.

I use a Pure 1-20 for my iphone which also hook up any 30 pin connector. Using i-20 with optical to my Audison BO and powered by a DC/DC step down converter.

I wouldnt even try to get into charging the ipad i can take it in the house for that, plus i really dont like apple products but they have the best batterylife out of all the brands... since i put that sound deadening on my roof my bronco has been really cool. The deadening actually absorbs the heat. If its about 100 outside my truck is maybe seeing 65 70 on the inside. Plus my side windows are blacked out. My problem is finding a good stand for the super heavy 1st ipad

might need to modify an existing bracket to make if beefier to stand up to the bass. I have a galaxy tab 2 in my car and I get too hot charging disabled all the time when the sun comes out. I would consider looking into charging in the vehicle too as it does **** when the battery dies on a road trip. Unfortunately I dont think ipad gen 1 will charge from aftermarket stereo usb inputs.

yeah. know it would be crazy trying to charge an i pad in the car. i believe you can charge it from the lighet port but it would charge at 1/4 the rate. which is fine for me cause i have an older truck where my light and what still works with out the car being on. and i know it wont kill my battery. i have left my lights on all night to only come and the truck fire right up. something to do with the big 3 i did. but i yeah i will look at buying one of the cheap ones off ebay.
