ok so i have an integra. my setup is going to probably be a:

sub: 12" type r 4 ohm dvc 2005

Box: http://img23.imageshack.us/my.php?image=215cubes32hz27sqin3ai.png

amp: profile ap1000m http://www.millionbuy.com/prfap1000m.html

problem is that the box is friggin huge. the box on top will have no space, the sides will have minimal space because of the things sticking out on the side you can see on the pic. (the measurement for the shortest distance between the two "things" on the side is about 31" and the box is 30"). the red is approx what the box is going to be like. the back has some room, it would be like a triangle in 3d made by the box, floor, and back of the seat. so.. my question is, where should i mount my amp so it doesnt overheat. will it be okay in the little triangular space since there will still be some air flow from the sides? any ideas? or should i just go with a smaller box? with a smaller box i would get more trunk space, which would be a plus! oh yea, and id prefer the box be ported. i listen to mostly dance techno and rap.

im looking for sql and i was looking to save some trunk room, but from what ive seen and have been suggested, this is the box that works. im willing to sacrafice some trunk room to have a better sounding sub, though.

also: what is the fork thing called.. the plastic piece in back of the box to connect your wires to? like the wires from inside of sub to the fork thing to the amp. i dont know where to get it or what its called. thanks

I don't see a problem in mounting your amp in the area you specified, but i'd personally go with a different amplifier. With two 30 amp fuses, I don't see how it could be 1000W r.m.s. (unless it's using hybrid technology;) )

That "fork thing" is what's known as a terminal cup.

You can get them here:

what would you suggest for amp?

im trying to keep this under 300 bux for woofer, box, amp, and wiring..

It's 1000w PEAK, not RMS.

Peak Output Power(4 Ohms): 650W x 1

RMS Output Power(4 Ohms): 310W x 1

Peak Output Power(2 Ohms): 1000W x 1

RMS Output Power(2 Ohms): 500W x 1

He'll be wiring it to 2 ohms and sending the sub 500w.
