installed new HU now pwr locks dont work

i switched out a HU in my gf sisters car (95 grand am) and after i was done the power locks dont work with the button. it still auto locks when u put it in gear but u cant unlock it with the button u have to do it manually. any ideas, i thought maybe somehow a fuse went but i didnt know how it would from a radio install. thanks

Well there isn't a lot it could be. Either a wire got cut somehow or a fuse blew. Unless you just absolutely screwed up the wiring of the head unit beyond belief. Find a diagram of your car's wiring harness and see if there are even any door lock wires that you might encounter.

I have a GM as well with the same harness and I can tell you there is no way you should have encountered a door lock wire. Look here : http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/GM-Wiring.pdf

obviously blew a fuse, check ur fuse box, see which one is the power locks, replace it. end of story. if it still blows you probably got wires touching somewhere.

did you use a proper wireing harness for your car, to install the radio?

did you even check fuses, etc before making a thread?

^^ no i didnt know it wasnt workin till shes called earlier after she picked up the car i already said it was pry just a fuse but wanted to know if it could be somethin else instead
