installed HU and now AC stopped working

As the title states.

I just got done a few hours ago installing a kenwood x792 HU with a scosche dash kit into my 1997 ford taurus.

The HU works fine. But I cant get my AC working. I can hear the vents opening when I change from things like defront to floor. But I get no air. Neither the AC or having it on VENT works.

The knobs seem to be getting power though as the backlight still illuminates.

its the full kit correct with AC and radio in one, just check the wiring and fuses, plug back factory one in, if it works, probably need to swap out the kits for a new one

you didnt have electric controls before did you? turn dials?

My cars original radio panel has 3 turn knobs.

Im using the original knobs. The scosche kit told me to remove the knobs (the whole assembly) from the factory radio panel and install them into the scosche panel. Which is what I did.

yea thats the right one, just pull it out and check connections then try factory unti back in

You probably pulled something loose from the backside of the kit. Its pretty easy to do since they dont give you a lot of space.

Probably. I still dont get why the backlights work though.

Whatev. I'll just pull the whole assembly out tomorrow and double check my wiring.

The lights are completely separate from the cable driven climate controls.

Probly, Make sure you have your dimmer connected I missed that wire(Mine was Orange)

Go to ur HW store and get a fuse checker with a light bulb cost about 3$ fast easy way to check all your fuses

I did connect the dimmer.

If your AC stoped working then its your fuse, Your HU does not controll the ac at all. Theres no wire for ac that should have been back there you probly just blew a fuse, just open the fuse box and check the ac fuse.

Of course it doesnt.

It stopped working when I took out my factory radio panel. Installed the scosche one, transferred ac controls from factory to scosche.
