I have been researching for months.. ive gone through so many different possibilities on what i may want and so on... I have a 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora with the Bose factory system.. I have a factory head unit installed everything is stock.. i have $1000.00 to spend on car audio, I need a head unit, 6x9 rears, 5.25 inch mids, and one inch tweeters, and i need a subwoofer or two and i need an amp also but i am confused will i need one amp for the subs? or will i need two amps one for the subs and one for the component speakers? Basically what i want out of my system is really loud bass i mean i want it to bang hard with decent to good sound quality but i also want to be able to hear my music clearly while im bangin and i want a head unit i can plug my ipod/mp3 player in to. Some one please tell me the best set up i could get with the money i have that will do what i want it to do your feedback is hugely appreciated

hey you can build a nice little setup with 1k... just spend you're money wisely and read up... just make sure to read up... alot... or youll end up regretting it

first thing ill tell you is, forget about the rear... spend your money on a solid set of front speakers

and if you want i can help you out, just shoot me a pm so yu dont have to post questions ppl are just gonna yell at since they get asked daily

Total system that is loud with sound quality and has a lot of bass is not gonna happen for $1000. You should work in stages, start with a HU, comp amp and upgrade the mids/highs first. Then save up again and add a strong sub stage.

while $1000 is cutting it close... it could probaly be done.. and i know for a fact it could be done with only a couple hundred or so more

my whole system didnt cost much more than that (im replacing my tangs with peerless soon tho) and honestly i bet it would impress you in person, for how much i paid

Usually around $1500. Thats a more realistic budget, IMO.
