Hey all,

Just curious if any of you have come across those new type of connectors that are in new vehicles. At least my 08 truck has them. They are a plug in connector from the door, rubber boot to inside the vehicle. Basically a plug that connects to the cab of the truck to run wires in to the doors.

I can not run my speaker wires through it. Any ideas on how to run the speaker wires to the inside of the doors? I was thinking of just drilling holes in the cab part, black taping the speaker wires (to hide them a bit) and then running them through the rubber boot to inside the doors.

you can try to use the stock wiring from the hu to the speakers and just connect wires behind the hu to the amp in the back bypassing the hu. but you might get noise. theres no telling where they ran them wires next to you know. crazy car companies.

find a couple of empty pins in the connector and drill a hole in it

thats not something new. it can be a pain in the a$$ though. easiest thing to do is just drill a hole somewhere near the top or corner away from the wires and run new ones through there.
