Ok I just installed a Kenwood KVT-617DVD in my cousins truck and the guy at the shop that I get all my stuff said that all you have to do is ground out the parking brake wire instead of having to hook up a switch to play videos while in drive, but it wouldnt play any video while in drive, it actually wouldnt play the video at all, just the sound wich I figured it was because it wasnt hooked up to the parking brake. Does anyone know if it HAS to have a switched hooked up to bypass it or just grounded out

Most newer indashes I've done(eclipse, jensen, pioneer, alpine) have to be switched, not just grounded out.
