fuse all power wires always
do not take advise from your buddy as this is a basic fundamental, and he missed that
x2 on that!

I've seen guys run power wire without and fuse and with the power wire running through the door jamb....time he closed the door.........not 20 seconds later the entire car was in flames:crap:! Talk to anyone I know and you'll know I tell no lies. This happened in a parking lot back when I was in high school about 10 years ago! Sucked for him.

Point is, same will happen to you if power touches and holds ground long enough. Fuses are solely for your protection (and your equipment and cars' protection).
