Hey all,
I just installed an alpine PDX-1.600 along with my Pioneer Avic-D3. The alpine has a gain input selector from 0.1V – 1.0V or 1.0V – 8.0V. The pioneer Avic-D3 is rated at 2.2V pre-outs, I taught that I would have to set to 1.0V – 8.0V setting. When I did that with the sub level on the Avic-D3 all the way up; I had to increase the amp gain about ¾ or more; and still not a lot of movement from my sub. I know my sub can take more.
I tired the 0.1V – 1.0V and it was more adjustable and more power, I just don’t want to clip or mess things up so I ratter make sure.
So should I be using 0.1V – 1.0V or 1.0V-8.0V with my Avic-D3?
Thanks in Advance
Dan
