Inline Fuse Blows Immediately? Help!

The inline fuse blows immediately and this system has never worked it a 2 channel kenwood amp wired to 2 speakers the wirring is 0 awg and the inline fuse is 25 but the fuse will blow as soon as you put it in even without any power on.

Whats wrong?

Bigger fuse, smaller wirring, bad speakers, bad wirring, bad amp, or short?

I dont know someone please help

Thanks

jesus, using a 25 amp fuse with 0 gauge wire, id say use at least 150 amp anl fuse man, maybe your power is grounded somewhere too...that happened to a buddy of mine

If you're blowing 25 amp fuses as soon as you put them in, a larger fuse is not the answer. You definitely have a short somewhere; maybe the wire is pinched has a screw through it, or maybe the connection at the amp is sloppy, or maybe there's a short in the amp itself. Fix the problem before you start upgrading the fuse. No matter what the wire gauge, it's not going to generate a 25-amp current draw all by itself.

Not true. The amp at startup could be pulling that many amps before setting into standby mode. It could be a short somewhere, but I call shenanigans on the amp.

I've had too many problems similar to that one. And usually its the amp.

Umm he says it pops RIGHT away before anything is even turned on. Amps dont pull current when they are turned off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

It really can ONLY be a short if he is telling the whole story.
