update:i only got 1 burp. my voltage was low so i tried to start the car & she would not start. i think the wardens killed my car. for real, not sure what is wrong with the car but, i have to have some one look at it. i did a 153.6 on my meter. voltage was low & that was not all she had. i have always done better on jeremy's meter than my meter. the subs soaked it up like a champ. they could have handled a lot more power.

i will try to fix the car & give more update on thursday. (i will be off thursday)

update: i was told that the access to the fuel pump was under the package tray. so, i pulled everything out of the car, scraped the dynamat ex. from where the wires went through the floor of the car & there was only the sending unit for the gas gauge. the tank has to be dropped on the 88 mod. crx. so i bumped on the tank & it cranked.

now i have the task of putting everything back in the car, do more testing & get the car ready for this weekend.

i hope the fuel pump will hold out long enough to get me by this weekend.

i don't want to get too far off track in this thread but my CRX had that little relay behind the driver side quarterpanel that needed to be tapped sometimes to get the car to start. it's apparently a common issue.

You said you took out a DP and replaced it with another sub, you just cant leave it as that and not say what sub. If you choose to say, then your just full of sh1t. But you are really confident so just say the name.
Also keep in mind if you did a direct swap, did you build a new box for it? Because each sub performs different in specific enclosures, so just curious as well.

Im not dumb. The box was built DIRECTLY for the DP and whenever I changed it in someway I lost numbers. So the box was the best in my application. The DP didnt do poorly, but when I switched I gained almost 1.5 dbs. Didnt change a thing, same coils, same amp, same box ect...

From what I know of this site, if I say what sub I switched to.... you guys are gonna cry and whine, even though you guys know it to be the truth.

well, i was not going to drive 4 hours and risk it raining. it rained all day yesterday here, & looking at doppler radar it was worse in crestview. so have not really put them to the test yet. what time i spent playing with them they seemed to take the power without any stress at all.
