didnt say they werent any subs that arent louder. at the note which i like and play, the Rs are it. for the money cant beat em. thats y i run em. driveby u need that low note and the r shine where i need them 2 play at. which is y i have em.

I respect you and your opinion and anyone who competes. I will say this.....If you put a 187 10 or 12 in a Type R box whatever size it is and play it for SPL purposes roughly around 50 Hz it will be as loud or slight louder than the Type R with half the power in the recommended box that Alpine says is the best for the Type R.

As far as pricing I bet a Type R is higher. I've never seen a sub in the price point of the 187 that can touch it. No bragging at all, results are results. If you want I'll even buy a Type R and test it myself and post results.
