help on bridging 2 amp's together

yes i just got 2 500 watt amps from a friend and he told me if i hooked them up by bridging they would hit harder and i have no clue how to bridge so if anyone could help me that would be great thanks

What you are referring to is "strapping"

What amplifiers do you have, and what are you trying to connect them to (subwoofer wise)?

i think those are lightning audio amps? what is the RMS wattege and at what ohm load on the amps? also what are the subs and voice coil configurations? might be just as easy to hook each sub to each amp.

That's why I want the actual model #'s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif So I know what we are working with, what will work and what won't work, in order to explain to him what will/won't work and why.

i just want to bridge 2 amps together and hook one sub to each amp. i hook up a duel amp wire kit and the main wire that runs from the battery runs to the back of the car then runs into a splitter that has two wires which are for 2 amps which gives it power and i run the ground, REM, and 12v so one amp has everything but the other amp only has power (12v) and i was talking to a friend and he told me to have someone hook it up but i did it myself and he said to bridge the amps together and i dont kno how to
